Mom Moments

Do you have those moments when your mind takes a snapshot of a certain moment in time? The moment was so cute or special you just want to store it away in your mind so you don't forget what your kids looked like and acted at a certain age. I had a few of those moments this week and the funny thing was they really were just simple things. This morning Hannah was heading out the door to catch the school bus and halfway down the driveway she stopped and turned and waved with a big smile. So simple, but it was so cute and nice to be remembered and to know that everything right then was good in her life. One of those why are tears coming to my eyes moments. Hayden's was just as simple. He has been having me read his journal from when he was two to him this week. I write just a simple paragraph each Sunday about important events, things they said, or what they did. He is really into reading them right now. Anyway, some of the things that he did were kind of funny. It is so great to hear him laugh right out loud when I read those parts. You know the deep belly laugh that just makes you laugh right with him. He has such an infectious laugh. It has been so fun to read them and made all the work of the journals worth it. Moments like that make the laundry, noise, messes, and fits seem to not matter as much and make it all worth it.

Hayden

Hayden got his shots for Kindergarten a few weeks ago. He was so relieved to have it overwith. He seems really ready to go to school lately. He is in the getting bored stage and will be ready to take school on everyday instead of the preschool schedule (mainly because he loves every minute of preschool and wants to go everyday). It is weird to think of sending my last child to school, but I am also excited for him. This kid is just so full of life and so fun to be around. I think he will have a great time. The problem is I can't decided what to do as far as AM or PM. With Hannah it was an easy decision, but Hayden could go either way and be fine so then I look at my schedule. On one hand it would be nice to not have to rush so much in the morning and then get errands done in the afternoon. On the other hand, it would probably be good for him to get in the schedule of getting up and going and not waiting around every morning for school to start. Anyone with Kindergartner's next year, what are you doing?

Blog Book

So I printed out my blog from the last year and a half. It was really fun to get the book and look through it. I did it from SharedBook. The site was really easy to download your book to and navigate, but I don't think I would order from them again. It wasn't as easy to edit the pages and I was a little disappointed in the quality of the pictures when the book came. The price was good but I can't figure out why some pictures are blurry and some are not when they were all taken from the same camera. Has anyone else tried to print theirs out or found a good site?

Wintertime

Do you ever find yourself wishing the winter away because you just want to see the sun or feel it warm outside? I have been doing that too much lately. I hate counting days away because I want to be happy in the moment I am in. What do you do to get through the winter blah's?

Don't see it!

We went and saw "Where the Wild Things Are" over our vacation. Don't go see it or rent it! It was very dark and just plain weird. I wanted to leave so bad but Hayden was a little attached to the monsters so we stayed. It just leaves you feeling not good at the end. I was sad because I love the book and think they could have made it really fun, but it wasn't. So if you haven't, don't.
