Lucky 13

Yesterday, we celebrated our 13th Anniversary. It waw nice to spend most of the day just together as a family. We pulled out some photo albums from the past and they were fun to look at. We did go out to dinner just the two of us and that is always a nice treat.

5th anniversary on a cruise in the Caribbean. They gave a cute little cake to enjoy.

Our family now. It is amazing all the great memories 13 years has given us.
Happy Anniversary!

Snapshots

This blog is for Hayden. He is always wanting me to take pictures in the hopes it will make it to the blog. He even wants me to put some of them on other people's blogs. I'm sure they don't want our pictures so we will update our little blog with our latest happenings.

Hayden has loved this week out in the snow. He has built so many snow forts until the roof falls in and then they will start on another spot. His favorite time is when his buddy, Zach, builds with him. I can't believe how long he can stay out there. It has made for one tired little boy when it is time for bed, but he is having a great time.
My girls all beautified for church.
Harley loves to snuggle with anyone who is laying down. This time it was Chloe. She didn't seem to mind but I'm sure it won't be long before she starts grabbing him and then he might think twice before laying down with her.
I love, love this time of the year. It is the one time of the year I love to shop. I love decorating the house. I love listening to Christmas music. I don't even mind the snow for a month because it just fits with the season. I love how excited my children get. I love the twinkling lights all over the house. I love my children's faces when they watched their video from Santa. I love thinking of ways to serve others. I love the magical feeling that I'm sure comes from everyone turning their thoughts to our Savior. Here is a picture of part of our Christmas room.
Hayden has loved showing everyone his Christmas train. He gets so excited to set it up every year. Here he is showing Chloe how it works. His favorite new trick is to take a dog treat and put it right in front of the train so that Harley goes to grab it right in front of the train. Good thing Harley is fast and Hayden is now banned from the trick. Poor dog, he will forever be teased by this little boy.
Hannah and Hayden's first time roller skating. We went for their cousin Alexis's birthday party. They had a great time. Hannah really got the knack of it. Hayden tried but only would let go of the side rail to dance his best moves.
And, oh, how we love this little girl. We just can't get enough of her cooing, talking, giggling and smiles. She is sleeping through the night so well now and is just growing so much. We love having her as a part of our family.

Happy December everyone!

Halloween 2010

Halloween is always a lot of fun. We started with carving the pumpkins Grandma and Grandpa Thornton always grow in their garden. Hayden even dared touch the inside stuff this year. They grew some really cool gourds this year too. We always love the annual decorate yummy, delicious Halloween cookies at the Beck's. We even went to a little haunted house afterwards. The kids loved it. Even Hannah thought it was fun - she's the kid who doesn't dare walk through the Halloween section in a store so this was another brave moment for her.

We spent Friday playing fun games like dig the penny out of the flour - an old one from my past.
Halloween was spent seeing family and of course Heath taking them trick-or-treating. They love to answer the door too. I love the neighborhood that we live in and how many visitors we get. It is so fun to see all of their costumes. Here's a look at ours:
Hannah - the Vampire Cheerleader
Hayden - Spider man
Chloe - the cutest little pumpkin on the block.

The Jackson Family cousins -

Halloween and all its scares does nothing to faze Hayden. What really scares him? His dad making him climb up on a shelf to get something down. That boy is so scared of heights. I haven't heard him act this scared for a long time. He had to wipe the tears away so we didn't see them in the picture. Poor little guy comes by this naturally from both his parents.

We hope everyone else had just as great of a day!

It finally Happened!

Hannah has been waiting for so long to lose her first tooth. Well, finally a few weeks ago she officially had a loose tooth because there was the new one growing in behind it. Because of that tooth, we needed to get it out but her baby tooth didn't want to go anywhere. Finally this weekend, she let her uncle Cody get a good hold of it and it finally came out! Hooray! We thought we might have to make a trip to the dentist. She thinks it's pretty cool because of the space in her top teeth the hole looks like Idaho. She wrote the tooth fairy a note and put it under her pillow.

That night she got scared about the tooth fairy coming so she took the note and tooth out from under her pillow and didn't want her to come. She just couldn't stand the thought of the fairy coming in her room. So last night I talked her into putting the note with the tooth out by the TV becasue she really wanted to let her come she just couldn't get past her nerves. That worked and the tooth fairy came. Our tooth fairy left her a note - just for the first tooth- and a $2 bill. Hayden was a little sad that he hasn't lost a tooth but I'm sure it will happen for him before we know it.

Sidenote - Hannah finally was able to say her part in the primary program yesterday. We were very proud of her!
