Hayden had a wonderful five year old birthday. He started out the day by talking his dad into taking him to get donuts. I love how the whole day is based around them and they love every minute of it. He was so excited for his Batman party it was hard to wait but it was fun when it finally came. Then he chose Pizza Hut for dinner.
We are so glad we have got to spend the last five years with Hayden. He is a great boy who brings joy into our lives everyday. He is so fun-loving, caring and fun to be around. He is always good for a laugh, but he also likes to work hard and be helpful. We couldn't ask for a better five year old (besides his sister since they get to share five for a few months).
Happy Birthday Hayden!

It's True!
It's true that Hannah has acquired a new talent this week. She can blow a bubble! What an accomplishment in her young five year old life. She now wants gum all of the time so she can practice her new trick!

Different
So church was so different for me yesterday. It was actually really weird. It was nice to go to the adult classes but it made me feel like a bump on a log. I am use to being up and doing all sort of things and being in charge of stuff. Don't get me wrong I was happy to not be in charge but also felt so strange to just be sitting. My hiney hurt by the end. I missed seeing my presidency and talking with them. I found myself as I walked down the hall still peeking into classes and the nursery to make sure they were okay. That habit will be a little hard to break. It was nice to be challenged a little bit spiritually and have the desire to go home and try a little harder. It was also so nice to go home and not have a big list of all the things I needed to do. I will miss the kids I served but it is so nice to know that they are so well taken care of by the next presidency. I'm sure I will adjust and it won't feel so unusual but for now it was just different.

Hayden's Exciting News
On Hayden's first day back to preschool last week after finding out about the baby, Ms Joy asked him if he had some exciting news. He was so excited to share that yes he did. She thought he would tell everyone I was pregnant. That wasn't the case. He went on to tell about the rubberband gun that his Grandpa had helped him build the night before. Ms. Joy kept asking if there was something else. Each time Hayden would just tell her more about the gun like he was so excited to bring it to show-n-tell. The exciting news about the baby was like two days old I guess. That is old news in a four year olds mind. I hope Grandpa knows how much he liked that gun because it trumped the news of a baby.
