Heath and Hannah

 We were so excited to find out that after being nominated and a long interview process, Heath was chosen to be the State of Idaho's Assistant Prinicpal of the Year. We know he definately deserves this award for all the hard work he puts in each day. I have seen him go the extra mile with a lot of different students and faculty. The school put together a surprise for him one day after school and we got to come over.

 They gave him a nice picture and a had a cake. It was so nice to see the support from the school.

 Hannah had her end of year recital. It was at the piano gallery and she played Hedwig's Theme. She did an excellent job and is really developing a great talent.

Easter, Fools, and Conference

 It was Easter weekend the same weekend as the blessing/baptism so we got to have all the fun with extra family here. We love the annual egg hunt at grandma's.

 Chloe hasn't had a hard boiled egg in awhile. She rediscovered that she loved them and ate four in a row.

 Easter baskets the next morning. The Easter bunny didn't hide them hard enough. They found them way to quickly and sadly the one picture I took is very blurry.

 Hannah and Hayden were determined to play some jokes on April fool's day. It isn't my favorite holiday but I thought I better join in on the fun so that they had some jokes on them not just dishing them out. They awoke to these cute mustaches on their faces. At first they didn't think it was very funny, but got into the spirit of it when they saw they would wash off. I couln't help giggling when I was drawing it on their faces and they didn't budge. 

 We have been trying to eat healthier around our home. One way is to have a green smoothie in the morning. Chloe loves her's and enjoyed sporting her smoothis mustache.

Salt Lake Trip

 Heath went to SLC with the boys to the first round of the NCAA tournament. It was the start of spring break so we decided to meet him down there at the end of the trip and spend a few days as a family with the Becks and Sargents. I was brave enough to pack for four kids and drive down by myself. It actually ended up really easy. We stayed in a fun hotel one night that had a great pool and the kids loved swimming.

 The next day we went to temple square. We had a so much fun going on a tour of the conference center. The kids were really attentive and loved looking at all of it. The whole building is amazing from the main auditorium to all the paintings throughout.

 We spent a lot of time going through all the other visitor centers too. They loved the children's part in the Church history museum. It was a well needed break after all the listening.

 We went to an aquarium that the kids thought was great. We shopped, visited the Huls, ate, and swam more! It was a great trip and fun to get away since that has been very limited with getting the baby here.

 And who couldn't love this little baby. She was a trooper on the trip and was a very pleasant traveler. She was excited to meet granny great for the first time.

Blessing and Baptism

 On March 30, 2013, we had the wonderful opportunity of having Hayden be baptized and Kinley blessed.

 It ended up being a beautiful spring day! Everyone got to participate somehow. Hannah was asked to give the talk on the Holy Ghost that day. She wasn't even that nervous to speak to so many people and she did a wonderful job. Heath did a great job on the blessings. It was so nice to be able to do it together. We were able to have the Huls, Mike and Jenny, Thompson's, both sets of grandparents, White's, Laramie, Cody and girls, Beck's, Sargents, and a few great neighbors join us for the day. We really appreciated the support.

After, we came back to our house for an easter type meal of ham, potatoes, lots of salads, and a cookie bar. It was yummy! It was definately one of those mom payback days where you are so proud to be a mom of such great kids!

Hayden's 8th Birthday

 It's Great to be Eight! I had a great day celebrating my birthday. A few weeks ago we celebrated with my Thornton side. I got a cool gun and some money. I woke up on my birthday to a decorated room and my favorite breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon and candy syrup. I got to open my presents before school. I got scout stuff, scriptures, a suit, and a BYU sweatshirt.

My mom, Chloe and Kinley came and brought me lunch. I love Subway! My mom brought doughnuts for me to share with my class.

 After school, Hannah took  me to the $1 store and I got to pick out a present for myself. I love going to that store. Then Zach brought me over a candy bar cake and a magic kit. I have been doing tricks all week. Cooper even stopped by with doughnuts and the movie, "Rise of the Guardians". My parents had a Hillcrest dinner they had to go to so I went to my Grandparents house for a little while. They owe me dinner this weekend. They did bring me home a big peice of cake from the restaurant and they sang to me. It was a great day and I am so excited to get baptized.

 My first activity for scouts was the pine wood derby. My dad and I have been working on the car for a few weeks. I chose the design and took it to my Grandpa Thornton and helped him carve it out with his wood tools. He helped me drill the holes for the weights. Then my dad and I painted it and did all the cool tricks to make it go fast. I was so excited to go that night. I was stunned when I won my first heat and then I just kept winning. I got second in one heat and won the rest so I made it to the finals. Then I won every race after that and got first place! I was so excited. I even got a trophy. It was one of the best days of my life. I had to go show both of my grandparents my trophy after I was so excited! Life is good.
