Baja Family Cruise 2015

We had a great spring break! We were able to go with the Beck's, Sargent's and Cody's family on a Baja cr
uise out of California. We had a blast and were so glad for this family vacation.
Kinley and Chloe loved flying for the first time.
All of these cousins had a great time together on the boat. Everyone had a buddy and they were in heaven spending that much time together.
So excited to get on the boat!
We loved our dinners each night. The kids had a blast with the waiters and having all the fun food. They even tried some new things like alligator, squid, frog legs, escargo. Most of the time the little ones checked in to camp carnival. They loved all the games and crafts they did there.

Our waiter was, Deddy. He was awesome and had great jokes and magic tricks.
Our first stop was at Catalina Island. It was such a beautiful place. Very blue water and the beautiful city of Avalon. It was a very relaxing place to be.

We played on the beach for awhile and then took a glass bottom boat ride. It was fun to look at all the fish that way.
Then we grabbed our snorkle gear and headed to the water. They had fun looking at the fish. The best was when we threw fish food by Hayden and all the fish charged him. He didn't know what was coming.
Hannah and I rented a Tandem bike and rode around the island. It was so beautiful with fun houses to look at. Then Hayden jumped on and we did it again.
Cousins having a great time together.
The next day we were in Ensenada Mexico. We were able to rent a bus for ourselves to go around the city. It was a great way to travel. Our guide was Jimmy and he was great to have around.
First, we went to the beach to ride horses. It was awesome. Kinley especially loved it and still talks about her horse.
Next was ziplining in the mountains. We were lucky enough that even all of us were able to go. Even the little ones. There were five different lines and a bunch of different bridges in between. Hayden got a little nervous on the bridges but he did it. Kinley loved the zip part. She got a little tired of her helmet and lost her binky but the nice worker went and rescued it for her.

We finished the day by going to a blow hole named Beuf a Dora. It was okay but the shopping in the flea market right there was really fun. All of the kids got fun souveniers and it was fun to barter for the price.
The last full day on the boat we spent on the boat. The kids had fun going to classes like learning how to fold towels into animals, partying in their clubs, swimming, sliding and mini golf. Of course there was more eating and the always open ice cream bar.
We got off othe boat on Friday and headed to the beach. We had such a great time playing in the sand and the waves and collecting shells.
Poor Easton got stung by a sting ray and was in a lot of pain. We were so glad when he finally felt a little better.

We are so blessed to have a great family and friends to have enjoyed this week with.

Hayden turns 10!

Kinley getting ready for the with the pre-birthday preparations of making a cake, decorating his room and setting up a scavenger hunt.
Hayden had a great 10th birthday. We started with a combined dinner at our house for Hayden and Grandma Thornton’s birthdays. We had the Thompson’s over. It was great. Then Hayden and Heath went to Buffalo wild wings with a bunch of guys. They ate a lot of wings and watched the BYU basketball.
Hayden got a baseball bat, baseball gloves, legos and a scout book. His friend Zach game him a circuit machine which he loved and has spent many hours playing on.
Dad's give the best birthday spankin's!
Chloe and Kinley took Hayden a Subway lunch and brought donuts to his class.
We made him a baseball cake. We were able to go to court that afternoon and watch Isaiah's adoption. That was awesome. Then I took Hayden to the Hobbit that night.
He is officially double digits!

Start of the Year 2015

Hayden conqured his fear of heights at Talen's birthday party by climbing to the top of the rock climb. He also got on the roof this year to help put up Christmas lights. That is a big step for him.

Hannah just finished her basketball season. They have grown so much this last year. They went from being kille by everyone last year to having a winning season and only losing one game. Hannah is the dribbling, defense, assist specialist. It is fun to watch her play. Now on to volleyball.
Basketball is Hayden's third favorite sport. He does love hanging out with his friends and getting some exercise. He is good at getting rebounds. His team had kind of a rough year with not a lot of wins, but these boys are good friends having a great time.
We had a fun Valentine's Day. Hannah and Haydent brought mini pops as their gift. I helped in Hayden's classroom party with minute to win it games. Hannah made a basketball box and Hayden a Broncos football box. We had a candlelight breakfast as a family and the kids babysat that night while Heath took me out. It  has been a beautiful month of February outside. The kids have lived out there. Heath surprised them with a new ripstick each on that day. They have lived on them. We ar excited that it is only one more month until our spring break trip!

Fall 2014

Fall was beautiful in Idaho and we had lots of fun activities. Halloween is always fun. Chloe had a great party at school. She dressed up like Elsa. Hannah was a nerd and Hayden was a werewolf. Kinley was a fairy princess. We didn't even get a picture - that's how lame we are sometimes.

Carving pumpkins at Grandpa and Grandpa Thornton's is always a fun thing to do. They watch the pumpkins grow all summer in their garden and are so excited when they finally get to choose their own and carve it. We were so happy to have Nick's cute family there with us.
We made a trip to Utah and visited with Granny Great. We did a lot of shopping, of course visited Smith and Edwards, and went to Scheel's. Hayden conquered his fear of heights and went on the ferris wheel. He held on to Hannah pretty tight. We were so glad that Aunt Kristie was able to babysit the younger two (they had a fabulous time) while we took the older two to the Motab Christmas concernt with the Muppets. It was a fabulous production and fun to be out with just the two of them.

We have tried to have dates with each child. This is when I took Hayden to Orange Leaf and we also played lazer tag. We also went to a movie one time and Hannah and I went shopping.

This is when Hannah got her ears pierced for the second time. However they are no longer pierced. She also got contacts so she could do gymnastics and basketball easier. She loves her new look. She is having a great time playing volleyball and basketball.
Chloe goes to Ms. Joy's preschool twice a week, has a playgroup with neighbors once a week and also got to participate in Bonneville's preschool with their child development class. She loved it! It was fun to go with Krew and Kendyl and she loved having her Grandma and Dad check in on her. The high school students did a great job putting it together.
We were able to host my entire family for Thanksgiving dinner this year. It was a major production to put it on but really enjoyable when the day finally came. It was great to visit with everyone. We moved our couch downstairs to fit everyone. The great thing about that was we liked it so much downstairs it stayed and we bought a new one for upstairs. We did lots o fun activities but the favorite was ice skating. Chloe loved her skooter she got to hold. It made it really easy for her.
Especially when someone pushed her!
We ended the week with my birthday. Happy 38th! It was nice to go out with the Becks, Sargents and Christians.
Then the countdown for Christmas began. The loved Fred coming back out, decorating and doing acts of service in our preparation for the big event.
