End of the school year 2016

We had a very busy, great end to the school year.  All the activities kept us hoping but it was fun to see the kids finish up all their activities.
Chloe was able to bring in a poster to school to celebrate her summer birthday. She is excited to turn 6 in August.

Hannah was able to have her dance recital with Dance Depot. They go all out with their recitals. She had many practices and performed two dances. This was her costume for her lyrical dance. She did a beautiful job.
Hayden was able to go on his first scout sleepover. They went to a jamboral in Shelley. He had a great time with all the activities in spite of the rain.
Hannah was in her first school play called Beauty is the Beast. She did a wonderful job with her lines and it was a really fun play to watch.
Chloe had her end of the year program in kindergarten. She was really nervous to be on stage but somehow made it through. She loved kindergarten but was excited to finish up the year. She is ready for first grade - well except the getting up early part.

Hannah was able to go on her first baptism trip to the Rexburg temple with her cousins. They had a wonderful experience. It was a great experience to watch them and feel the spirit there.

The Huls family spent the weekend with us. We decided to make the drive to Craters of the moon. We loved walking up the spattercone and going through the caves.

Our favorite was Scout Tunnel. It is a very open cave that is really fun to crawl around on the rocks. We had a great time.

We had the annual Memorial weekend fire at the Sargent house. We love this tradition of getting together with the extended family. We missed Van and LarRene who are on their mission. It was nice of them to let us use their yard still.

Hannah has had fun passing around a emoji poop with the neighbors. It all started with a joke that we were the poopy family for missing a birthday party. It has been fun to be "pooped" instead of "booed".
Heath did a fabulous job with his third graduation at Bonneville. It is fun to watch what a great leader he is in this setting. We are glad that he gets a break for a few weeks this summer!

I was able to help the last week of school at Hillview's field day. We had a great time playing human foosball.

Hannah and Hayden getting off of the bus on the last day of school. We met them in the cul-de-sac with root beer floats. Hayden had a late night with friends at our house that night. They had fun playing night games and rambo.

Hannah went to her friend Livy's birthday party. They had a great time swimming, rappelling, and watching a movie.
Hannah had an end of the year volleyball party at the Jones house. They were such a fun team together. It was fun having Hannah make a new set of friends. They played well together too.
Carl was a great coach. It was fun watching how much the girls grew in skills during the year.

Hannah participated in the 6th grade track meet. She ran in the 50 yd dash and the shuttle run.

Chloe had her end of the year recital for dance. She danced beautifully to an Elvis song, but she was so glad to see it come to an end. Dance was not her favorite activity this year.

Chloe had an end of the year music recital. She loved her Let's Play music class and her teacher Ms. Tandee. She learned so much and got to play a piece on her bells for her year end recital. She will be excited to do this class again next year.

Hannah at one of her volleyball games. She loved this club season.

Hayden graduated from DARE. He loved this program. He was excited to complete the pop challenge.

I have had a great year working with theses ladies.
With all the fun this was, we were happy to see it come to an end and move on to summer. Hooray for a break from the routine.

Spring Break 2016

We were so excited for our Spring Break trip to St. George, Zion's, and Bryce Canyon. The warm weather was amazing and we had a lot of fun family time together.

We started out in St. George. We were there to watch the Bonneville Softball team play in a tournament. We went to a lot of games but it was great because it was warm and the park was fun with a fishing pond. Our hotel was nice with a great pool. We spent a lot of time there. Hayden celebrated his birthday by climbing up dixie rock, bumper boats, batting cages and dinner at Texas Road house. We tried Swig - it's not a favorite of the Jackson's. We should have tried Frostop. We visited Brigham Young's winter house and the temple grounds. We went and saw Brad and Whitney's new house they are building. We really had a great time.

Then we headed to Zion's Naitonal Park. The views were amazing. We loved the drive up the hill to the tunnel. The tunnel was amazing. Riding the buses weren't so bad - just crowded. We went on a lot of fun hikes. The emerald pool, weeping rock and the riverwalk to the Narrows. We loved playing int he water and watching the squirrels. We put a lot of miles on.

Mom and Hayden went on one hike by theirselves - Angel's Landing. It had great views and fun switchbacks. We made it to the part below where you have to go up a steep part while holding on to chains. It is really steep on each side. Hayden didn't like that part so we turned around. Scout's Landing was good enough for us. It was fun to go on a hike together.

On the way home we went through Bryce Canyon. We had perfect weather all week until we made it there. We hit a snow storm. It was freezing but fun to jump out fast and see the amazing view.

Hayden's 11th Birthday!

Hayden had a great 11 year old birthday. He was able to take a few friends to Leo's place for a birthday bash. We had an awesome time eating pizza and playing laser tag. They even loved it that their mom won the laser tag game.

We were in St. George on Hayden's birthday. We had an awesome time swimming, hiking around St. George, riding bumper boats, going to the batting cage, watching Bonneville Softball, and going out to eat. He wasn't sure he wanted to miss school on his birthday but I think he decided it was a good decision.

We love this obedient, kind, fun-loving kid. Happy Birthday, Hayden!

Other Spring Happenings 2016

Kinley was able to attend her first friend birthday party. She loved the princess theme Cambria chose.

Kinley was finally able to get her tonsils out. We are so excited she can now breathe much easier. She went into the surgery like a champ. It was a little hard for her to wake-up. Recovery from surgery was a little hard  for this little one. After two weeks, she felt much better, but then her immune system was down and she caught everything. We are excited to be past the sick time of the year and be healthy.
We went on a super fun girls trip to Salt Lake City. We went with the Sargent and Beck girls. It was so fun to drive down together, go out to eat, visit Elder and Sister Sargent on their family history mission, swim and stay in a hotel. The next day we had ticket to Frozen on Ice. It was a fabulous show. We toured temple square and the mall and then made the drive home. Fun to have some girl time.

Hannah has participated in club volleyball with the Knights this year. She has loved her team and coach. They have all progressed so much and are doing a really good job at their tournaments. We have traveled a lot of weekends to places all over eastern Idaho. It really is fun to watch her play. We love volleyball!

We had a great Easter weekend. It was at the end of our spring break so we were still recovering from our trip. We started the weekend out with a baseball game with the Becks and Sargents. It was fun to get out together. We then had a BBQ and decorated eggs at the Beck's house.

Saturday afternoon we went to Grandma Thornton's and had a scavenger hunt and easter egg hunt. It was fun to find all the eggs. It was fun to get our baskets the next morning. We are blessed to be able to remember our Savior and the sacrifice that he made for us.

Hayden was able to receive his Arrow of Light as he completed the Cub Scout program. We are proud of him for this accomplishment. Off to 11 yr old scouts he goes.

Kinley turns 3!

This little munchkin was so excited to have her three year old birthday. She wanted everything pink because that is her favorite color.

She loved her pancakes with candy syrup for breakfast, lunch with mom at chick fil a, and having dinner at Leo's place. It was fun to play at the arcade and in the play area.

She received Tinkerbell and barbie things. She is our super sassy, happy, fun loving, adventurous, talkative little one. She might think she was turning 15, but we are glad she is just three.
Happy Birthday, Kinley!
