Christmas 2014

We had a wonderful Christmas 2014. We were happy that everyone was healthy this year - well that was until we all got the flu to finish it off. Above is our annual pajama picture. We also recieved a new book this year.
Christmas morning is always very exciting after allt he wait. Hannah got new luggage and an american girl doll. Hayden received legos and a new nerf gun. Chloe and Kinley got american girl dolls and accessories.
We always enjoy the Jackson get together. We hosted this year. We played fun games and of course ate a wonderful dinner thanks to Heath. Melvin is always good entertainment and the cousins had a fun gift exchange.
The kids were able to have their own New Years party at our house. They had fun with the dare that were put in firecrackers. The adults went to their own party for awhile and then finished up with the kids.

The Thornton side also got together on New Years day for pizza and appetizers. They are always excited to recieve their wood gifts from their grandpa and the cousin gift exchange is always fun.
We went sledding with Heath's cousins and siblings one day on Iona Hill. It was super fun. Especially because the four-wheelers can pull you up the hill.

We also went skiing to Kelly Canyon. Heath and I went away on a overnight anniversary trip to Lava Hot Springs. It was awesome to get away to a fun bed and breakfast. The funnest part of the trip was exchanging our Expedition for a newer vehicle. We love our new car. As Chloe put it, we finally got rid of the skunk.
This Christmas was just a feeling of peace and love for all the blessings we have in our lives. We are truly blessed with great family, friends, health and peace.

Table Rock 2014

We made it up the big mountain this year. This time Jenn, Kaylee, Brianne and Hannah joined us. We had a great trip. We went up and down face which was much better. We had a great time and you just can't beat the view from the top. Hayden cruised up the hill and had to be stopped a few times to slow down. It was a pretty big feat for Hannah and we were so glad that she accomplished it.

Back to School 2014

We were so excited to go back to school this year. Hannah started 5th grade with Mr. Weller. She loves it! It has been a great experience so far. She comes home each day with funny little stories of things that happen each day. She was so excited the first day she couldn't sleep. She had her bed made by 1:00 in the morning. I made her go back to bed and then she was still up at 5:00 for the day. I love it that she loves school so much. She has also started volleyball, gymnastics and piano.
Hayden started 4th grade with Mrs. Mortimer. He also loves it. It has been a great start to the year. He is excited to be back on a schedule and to be able to see his friends everyday. He is also having a great time with football each day.

We can't forget Chloe! She started preschool this year with Ms. Joy. She loves it and is so thankful to have all her little friends in her class. She is going to have a great year.

August 2014

Summer has been great. We have had lots of adventures but we are so excited to go back to school now. Chloe took swimming lessons. She did great. She even dared jump off the diving board.

We have had lots of swimming adventures too. We have gone to Rexburg splash park, Ribgy lake, Gem lake, ammon pool, and Rexburg Rapids.

We went to Boise for a week with Dad's meetings. We had fun going to the zoo, swimming in the pool, visiting Nick's family, going to a splash park, going to dave and buster's, and school shopping. We were sad that Hayden couldn't come because of football but he had fun staying with his grandparents.

e Other fun activities were going to Yellowstone for a day. We had a great time seeing the geysers and spotting animals, even a bear. Once Kinley started puking though, it was time to go home. We made a quick trip to Utah. We went to Cherry Hill, took Granny Great out to dinner and went to the Ogden temple open house. It was so great to go inside a temple. Other fun activities is fires in the backyard with friends, night games, science experiments, shaving cream fights, water parties, movies at the paramount, scout day trips, activity days, playing with friends, and of course our daily 10.
Hayden started football. He spent most of July getting ready for it by running in the mornings with his mom and friends. He also went to conditioning camp and padded camp. He was excited to start real practices. He loves playing defense and tackling the other team. He loves it when he sacks the quarterback. He will be excited to play in his first game on Tuesday.

We were happy that our dad started feeling better with his knees and was able to do a little bit with us before he went back to work. My mom also started a job with the district with the online school. That has made the end of this month a little crazy. We are all excited to start school again and the routine that will bring.

Chloe turns 4!

Birthdays are always so exciting, especially when you are turning four! Chloe had two wishes for her birthday to get Frozen things and to go to Rexburg rapids. She was able to get both wishes. She felt like it took forever for it to get here, but it finally came. She started the day with her room decorated with streamers and balloons. Her dad made her an omelet for breakfast. then she opened her gifts. She loved her Elsa dolls, Elsa costume, workbook, clothes and elsa wig. She had lots of time playing with them. She wanted edamame for lunch and then we headed up to Rexburg rapids.
The Beck's, the Sargent's and Tylee and Rylin came with us. It was kind of a cold day but we had a lot of fun. We all love that park. It really was a great day.
