Valentine's Day

It is great to love Valentine's day when you are a kid. We started the day with a candlelight breakfast. We made everything red - the pancakes, eggs (not recommended again - yuck!), and the syrup. We gave each other our small valentines. The kids were excited to take their boxes and valentines to school.
 Hayden's tank.
 Hannah's owl.
Chloe made cute Olaf snowmen for her preschool class.
We got to plan the party for Hannah's class. We had a good time doing valentine olympics. They were a great class.
Chloe enjoying her sprite and ice cream with a licorice straw.
Hannah with her teacher, Ms. Hammond. Heath took me out to dinner and a basketball game that night. The kids had fun with a babysitter at the Becks. He surprised the kids with co-co bean cupcakes.
Happy Valentine's Day!

Forgotten Pictures of 2013

Hannah and Hayden started swim club again at the Apple. It is fun to watch them progress.
Hayden's flag football team from the spring. He loves playing indoors.
Hannah published a book at the end of Third grade. This is from her reader's program.
We started last summer with a trip to Vegas. We had fun walking around, swimming, going to hoover dam, swimming, going to parks, and swimming more.

We ended the trip in St. George with a visit to Whitney and watching Mary Poppins at the Touacan theater.

Christmas Break 2013

We started out the break with Heath having his right knee replaced so we had a lot of down time with him helping him recover. It made it a slower Christmas but we still had fun. We had a lot of family parties the first weekend. We are always excited for what Grandpa Thornton will make. He made Hayden an airplane, me a jewelry  box, Heath a fish puzzle, Hannah a desk pen holder, Chloe a ball puzzle and Kinley a train. It was good to see family. We then were preparing for Christmas. Heath gave his annual pj's. Grandma and Grandpa Thornton came over for a Christmas Eve dinner and program. Finally Christmas morning came!
Hannah and Hayden were the first ones awake. They had to wait until 7 for Chloe to wake up. We just let  Kinley wake up on her own and she had her own Christmas when she woke up. After presents, we had the grandparents over for breakfast and then spent the day doing projects and playing games. It was fun. We had the Jackson party later that day at Cody's. It was fun to start that off with sledding.
Kinley's favorite gifs were her Minnie vacuum and her ball set.

Hayden was excited to get a sled snowboard and an xbox.
Chloe was excited to get a Rapunzel doll and Sophia the first's family.

Hannah loves her new blanket and spent all morning setting up her new desk.
It was a fun day had by all.
Other highlights of the break were lots of sledding - down the hills and behind four-wheelers. Grandpa Jackson took Hayden ice fishing. He had fun and loved the fish he caught. He even learned he liked fish to eat.

We also had a fun new year's eve party with friends, had a great anniversary at home, played games, went to movies, watched movies and spent a lot of time together. It was a great vacation at home.

Kinley's First Birthday

Kinley made it to her first birthday. I think her family was more excited about the day than this little girl could understand. She gave us a lot of smiles through all the excitement. Hannah and Hayden decorated with balloons and a sign when she woke up. We made her cake during the day. Both sets of grandparents came over for cake and ice cream later that night. She received clothes and a toy hippo and toy dog. She was very excited for all of it. She was especially excited to dig into her cake. She is a joy to be around each day with her loving hugs and smiles. We are excited to see what adventures the next year will bring for her.

Fall 2013

Fall has been great. Good weather, fun at school and a few festivities. Hannah and Hayden are doing really well in 3rd and 4th grade. They have good teachers and great friends. Heath is adjusting to his new job at Bonneville High School. It has been a good change. Chloe is loving her preschool group, dance and playing with friends. Life a 3 yr old is great. Hannah is involved in piano, dance and activity days. Hayden just received is wolf in scouts, finished football and started basketball, and plays hard with friends everyday. We were able to have the Huls girls come to stay with us one weekend while their mom was in the hospital. We had fun carving pumpkins and going to a parade and a corn maze.

Halloween is always a fun event. We had fun trick or treating at both grandparents houses. We also went to trick or treat street. We talked the kids into skipping their school Halloween stuff and go on a family trip to Coeur d'Alene. Heath had to go for a volleyball tournament. It was fun to get away and see the beautiful country up there. We were able to trick or treat in their mall and go to a community center which had a Halloween party and you could swim in their big pool for free. During the trip we also went bowling, walked along their lake boardwalk, went to a cool toy store, shot guns and arrows at Cabellas, shopped and ate good food. It was fun to swim at the hotel. We of course also drove a lot.
We were finally able to get a family shot of us at Laramie's wedding. I just had to put it on here to document this in history. We don't get family pictures very often - or ever.
