Kinley made it to her first birthday. I think her family was more excited about the day than this little girl could understand. She gave us a lot of smiles through all the excitement. Hannah and Hayden decorated with balloons and a sign when she woke up. We made her cake during the day. Both sets of grandparents came over for cake and ice cream later that night. She received clothes and a toy hippo and toy dog. She was very excited for all of it. She was especially excited to dig into her cake. She is a joy to be around each day with her loving hugs and smiles. We are excited to see what adventures the next year will bring for her.

Fall 2013
Fall has been great. Good weather, fun at school and a few festivities. Hannah and Hayden are doing really well in 3rd and 4th grade. They have good teachers and great friends. Heath is adjusting to his new job at Bonneville High School. It has been a good change. Chloe is loving her preschool group, dance and playing with friends. Life a 3 yr old is great. Hannah is involved in piano, dance and activity days. Hayden just received is wolf in scouts, finished football and started basketball, and plays hard with friends everyday. We were able to have the Huls girls come to stay with us one weekend while their mom was in the hospital. We had fun carving pumpkins and going to a parade and a corn maze.
Halloween is always a fun event. We had fun trick or treating at both grandparents houses. We also went to trick or treat street. We talked the kids into skipping their school Halloween stuff and go on a family trip to Coeur d'Alene. Heath had to go for a volleyball tournament. It was fun to get away and see the beautiful country up there. We were able to trick or treat in their mall and go to a community center which had a Halloween party and you could swim in their big pool for free. During the trip we also went bowling, walked along their lake boardwalk, went to a cool toy store, shot guns and arrows at Cabellas, shopped and ate good food. It was fun to swim at the hotel. We of course also drove a lot.
We were finally able to get a family shot of us at Laramie's wedding. I just had to put it on here to document this in history. We don't get family pictures very often - or ever.

Hannah started 4th grade with Mrs. Hammond.
Hayden started 3rd grade with Mrs. Anderson.
Chloe started a neighborhood preschool group. The first day was at our house and we learned about caterpillars. She was so excited. Posted by Nancy J at 5:03 PM 0 comments

Summer 2013
We have had a fun, busy summer! (Maybe that is why the blog posts have been non existent! ) The older two go back to school in four days so we are trying to finish up our summer bucket list. One thing left on the list was a shaving cream fight. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.
Chloe turned three!
She was so excited all day long. We went around the river, played at the park and had lunch at Mickey Donalds.
We had the Thornton Family reunion. We just stayed in Idaho Falls this summer. We had fun boating- well until we broke the window on the boat. The reunion was filled with sleepovers, good food and conversation, ijump, night games, smores, and a trip to Ribgy lake.
We were able to spend a week in Boise for Heath's work. We went to a water park, walks down the river, swam a lot at the pool, tour of the Capital, and to Heath's award luncheon. It was great to see him receive the award for the State of Idaho Assistant Principal of the Year.
We accomplished lots of things on our summer bucket list. Number one on the list was for Hayden and I to hike table rock. We did it and had a great time. We came home tired, scratched up and sunburnt but would do it again in a second. It was a great day.
Laramie got married! We were so excited to participate in all of these festivities. The girls looked beautiful in their dresses - especially Laramie. It was great to catch up with family too. We were excited to welcome Melvin and Isaiah to the family.
We have had many trips rafting down the river. Hayden has become a pro at doing it. Chloe and Hannah made it down half way. Still too cold of water for this old mom.
We had a fun day trip to Jackson. We did a bungee tramp, saw the tetons, rock climbed, and a rode a tram to the top of the mountain. It was an awesome day.
We had fun celebrating the fourth of July with the normal traditions of the parade, water party at Grandpa Jackson's and the fireworks that night.
Chloe got her tonsils out. She was a trooper and actually healed pretty quickly.
We love summer but are also excited for school to start.
